Slate-floored master bathroom with oak fluted feature wall, twin vessel basins and quartz vanity — bathroom design
Bathroom Design & Planning · Reading

Bathroom Design Reading

Layout, storage, lighting and materials worked out carefully in advance — so nothing is ordered, cut or plumbed in until the room genuinely fits how you live. Bathroom design and installation across Reading and Berkshire.

Design first

Get the plan right and the build takes care of itself.

Almost every problem in a finished bathroom traces back to a decision made — or missed — at the planning stage. A soil pipe in the wrong place, storage that doesn't match how the room is used, tiles that visually shrink a small space, lighting that flatters no one. We take bathroom design seriously because it's what separates a nice bathroom from a genuinely good one, and because we're the ones who then have to fit it.

  • Designers who are also the fitters — nothing gets specified that can't be built
  • Space planning around plumbing, doors, windows and daylight
  • Bespoke storage — vanity units, tall units, mirrored cabinets
  • Tile, flooring and colour schemes matched to the room's proportions
  • Layered lighting design plus properly sized ventilation
  • 3D visuals so you can see the room before it's built

What we cover

Where a good design pays back.

01

Layout & space planning

Working out where fixtures should really live, given pipework, doors, windows and how the room is used.

02

Small bathroom design

Wall-hung fixtures, slim trays and single tile formats that make compact rooms feel considerably larger.

03

Ensuite & wet room design

Walk-in showers, screens and drainage planned around the space and the structure beneath it.

04

Storage & vanity units

Bespoke vanities, tall units, concealed cisterns and mirrored cabinets that earn their space back.

05

Lighting, ventilation & heating

Layered task and ambient lighting, quiet ducted extraction, heated towel rails and underfloor heating.

06

Tiles, flooring & sanitaryware

Porcelain, ceramic and natural stone, bath versus shower, brassware and accessible details — chosen together.

Bathroom designers in Reading who also fit the bathroom

Plenty of showrooms in Berkshire will design you a bathroom. Far fewer will then be the ones standing in the room three months later trying to make that design work around a soil stack. Because we design and install, every drawing we produce has already been checked against what's actually behind the walls — and that's where most design problems start.

Design is included with every full installation. We'll look at the layout, storage, lighting, ventilation, tiles, flooring, colour scheme and sanitaryware together, weigh up bath against shower for how the room really gets used, and factor in accessibility where you want the room to work long-term. Where it helps a decision — usually tile choice, feature walls or vanity styles — we'll produce a 3D visual.

We work on bathroom design across Reading, Caversham, Earley, Woodley, Twyford and the surrounding Berkshire villages, from compact ensuites to luxury master bathrooms. Once the plan is agreed, the same team carries it through to the finished room — see bathroom installation for how that stage works.

The process

From first call to final walk-through.

  1. 01

    Consultation

We visit your home in Reading, get a real feel for how you use the room, take precise measurements and talk through what's working and what isn't.

  2. 02

    Design

You receive a considered design with layout options, tile and sanitaryware suggestions and, where useful, a 3D render so you can picture the finished bathroom.

  3. 03

    Quotation

A fully itemised written quote covering labour, materials, timings and any preparation work — clear, transparent and fixed before we start.

  4. 04

    Installation

Your dedicated team fit the bathroom with dust sheets, daily clean-downs and clear communication throughout — usually two to three weeks on site.

  5. 05

    Final inspection

A detailed walk-through, snagging, aftercare guidance and a written workmanship guarantee — plus we're a phone call away for anything afterwards.

We're really pleased with the finished bathroom. Everything was organised well from the first visit, the dates didn't slip once and the standard of the tiling and finishing is excellent. It also helped that they'd clearly done this hundreds of times before — nothing seemed to faze them.

Our bathroom was very cramped and we honestly weren't sure what layout would work. The suggestions we got made a huge difference — we've ended up with a proper walk-in shower and twin basins, and the room feels twice the size. Tidy, polite and finished on time.

We were nervous about putting a wet room on the first floor, but the tanking and drainage were explained to us in plain English before anything started. Completely watertight, beautifully tiled and worth every penny.

Quote was itemised properly and the final invoice matched it exactly. Finished a day early with only two snags, both sorted the same week.

Genuinely helpful advice about where the money was worth spending and where it wasn't, which we appreciated. The floor tiling is dead level, the underfloor heating is a revelation and the kids love the new bath. Booking them again for the ensuite next year.

We wanted a bathroom that would still work for us in ten years without looking clinical. They designed a level-access shower with discreet supports built in, and it's now the calmest room in the house. Clear communication throughout and very respectful of our home.
